To Blog or Not to Blog This Is The Question?
I have had this blog for several years. I started it so I could then start a blog for the Library I work for. The libary blog is very successful and all of the librarian's or most of us...blog weekly. We have even started a Facebook account. But if you haven't noticed, I have not been keeping up on my blogging at this site. Part of the problem is once I learn something...it becomes a little boring. And I also feel like I might be boring anyone who happens to see my blog.

But, I have decided to start blogging again...this answers the question in the title. I will use this as a type of journal for me. I will also try adding more pictures. Right now although it is called Quilting Librarian...I am not quilting very much. I am mainly making cards (using stamps and fiber arts media) for friends. The paper quilt is one I did for a challenge for Quilting Arts Magazine. I have also been reading many books using my Blackberry as an ereader. Studying the scriptures. I am in a time of spiritual renewal..I hope.
One of my old college roommates, Wendy Ulrich, wrote a book called "Weakness is Not Sin: the Liberating Distinction That Awakens Our Strengths." She is a a psychologist. I am reading slowly. One of the scriptures Wendy mentions is Ether 12:27 "And if men come unto me, I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me, for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."
Wendy is a great friend and a good author. She and I went on a mission for our church at the same time...she went to Belgium and I went to Sacramento. She talks about her mission in her book and about the weaknesses that made her consider her mission a failure. I doubt that Wendy was ever a failure. I always considered her so intelligent, so close to Jesus, and such a leader. She was in charge of a Mission with her husband a few years ago and was very worried about going. Well, her weaknesses became strengths.
